My Specialties:

    The specialized training I have received in trauma and addictions will help each one of my clients gain an understanding of the neuroscience behind their automatic, maladaptive beliefs / behaviors as well as how these beliefs developed.   Through increased awareness of unhealthy thought patterns, as well as the events that led to the development of these beliefs, the recognition of personal strengths and the use of healthier thinking and coping techniques can begin to develop.  

     The specialized training I have received in Play Therapy will help the children I serve to express their feelings through play so he / she can learn how to express their feelings in healthier ways outside of play sessions.  Play Therapy will also help the children I serve learn healthier ways to manage their emotions so he / she can have reduced negative outcomes in the home, school, and social environments.  Play Therapy will also help parents learn how to strengthen the parent - child relationship by learning and implementing more positive parenting skills.
